As an internationally active company, we stand up for high social and environmental protection standards in our own company, but also in the companies of our business partners and production sites. To fulfil our responsibility, we have therefore joined the Business Social Compliance Initiative (BSCI) as a member. With the BSCI Code of Conduct, we have committed ourselves to implementing the requirements regarding social responsibility along the supply chain.
A large part of our production sites in Bangladesh have joined the Accord. The Accord is an agreement between retailers/brands and trade unions to ensure safe and healthy textile production. Its purpose is to provide adequate safety measures and to enable a working environment where no worker has to fear fire, building collapse or other accidents.
For some of our products, we also offer the option of production according to GOTS. The Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) was developed by leading international standard organisations. This created globally recognised guidelines that guarantee the sustainable production of textiles, from the extraction of organically produced raw materials to environmentally and socially responsible manufacturing and transparent labelling, in order to offer consumers credible quality assurance.
The Oekotex Standard 100 is also part of our products and collections.
Only items that meet the strict requirements in all components, including non-textile components, may be awarded the coveted "Confidence in Textiles" label. Some of the required criteria go far beyond legal regulations and thus offer the highest level of safety for the consumer.
