Product Range
We are specialists for pullover, sweatshirt and t-shirt for ladies and men. Of course we offer beside this, trendy items like sportswear and padded jackets. Even if we are working in the lower and medium price range, there are no assortments and you can choose colours and sizes as you like.
In adition to that we offer a wride variety of promotion articles with quick delivery times.
Collection
With our own and freelance designers we create two preorder collections. During the running season we offer nearly weekly new developments. In addition to our big collection, the ideas of our customer are welcome. For many partners we are doing on private label basis.
Service
Due to our own storage capacity of arround 12.000 m² we are able to do a lot of services to our partners. "Just in time" delivery, "ready to sell" and stock service is our success.
Production
Our production units are located in Europe, Asia and Africa. Because of long term relations we can guarantee a constant price . value relation. In the same time we follow the new developments in the changing markets.
Marketing:
Retail chains, mail order, wholesaler, discounter as well as specialized retail trade can be served with our widely spread collection and the use of private labels.
The main markets are Austria and Germany. We are also happy that in the last few years we could gain a lot of customers from other european countries: Belgium, Croatia, Czech Republic, Finland, France, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Sweden, Spain and Switzerland.
History
The company was found by Waltraud and Karl Karntner in 1965 on 30 m² as a franchise outlet of the lingrie company Palmers. 1972 they started to import knitwear items from Italy and Germany. This was the start for import and production activities. Four years later the first expansion of storage capacity was done.
The change of the structures in the retail market was realized and the first contacts to larger scale retailers were set up, to give advantage to all customers due to bigger quantities. New input on the sourcing as well as on the selling side were given by the entry of Mr. Gerhard Karntner in 1989.
With the new construction of another ware-house in 1992 a total storage capacity of 6.000 m² was set up.
The entry of Austria to the EEC and the takeover of the Austrian brand name VIENNA brought further dynamic into the company. In 1997/1998 the turnover outside of Austria was multiplied with the participations in new fairs and with acquisition of more selling agents. The company also bought a neighbouring building and adapted it. This lead to the existing storage capacity of ca. 10.000 m2.
To prepare the change of generation in 2001 the company was restructured into a GmbH & Co KG.
Due to another increase of design and selling capacity the modern trading company Textil Karntner is proud on an increasing turnover and order situation.
By the end of 2004 we expanded our available space by adapting the ground floor of a building located close to our company's headquarters.
In addition a new storage-facility with over 2.000 m² was built in 2006.
2007 the office and in house showrooms were brought to the latest standard and a showroom in Fashion House 1 was opened in Düsseldorf.
In 2008 the product range was extended towards sport and promotion garments.
Constant investments ensure that the quality of service for our customers continues to increase.
New emphases in the collection have been added in the years 2009/2010 by launching the labels Gabriella K. and M.X.O.
Gabriella K. is for fashion in a most attractive price range in sizes from 38-52. M.X.O. is targeting the younger ladies.
